Who calls in Telugu
Telugu is the language of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Your callers are in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, Warangal, Tirupati, Nellore, Kakinada, Kurnool and Karimnagar. There are large Telugu-speaking communities in Bengaluru, Chennai and parts of Odisha too.
Hyderabad is a big medical city. Patients travel there from both states for specialist care, and they call first. Most callers mix Telugu and English freely: "doctor garu repu available aa?"
Questions Telugu-speaking patients ask first
Before a patient books, they usually want facts:
- "Consultation fee entha?" (How much is the consultation fee?)
- "Which days does the orthopaedic doctor sit?"
- "What are the OP timings on Saturday?"
- "Is there a slot for my mother tomorrow?"
- A family in Guntur or Warangal checking a Hyderabad doctor's schedule before they travel.
Each question is short, but together they keep your desk on the phone all day.
How Zarur handles Telugu
Zarur speaks natural Telugu, with no menus and no "press 1". It understands callers who switch between Telugu and English, and it switches languages mid-call when the caller does.
Zarur tells callers about doctor availability, timings, departments, fees and general hospital information. Then it books from your live doctor schedules. Leave, breaks and session changes apply at once. It never books the same slot twice, and it reads the booking back before saving.
Zarur answers more than one call at a time, day and night. You can save doctor names in Telugu in the portal, so Zarur says them correctly. Patients get a WhatsApp confirmation, then a reminder before the visit.
If a caller describes an emergency, Zarur transfers the call live to your desk. It does not give medical advice.
Setup in about a day
You enter four things: your hospital, doctors, departments and schedules. The less there is to enter, the faster it goes. Zarur then answers on the phone number included with your plan, or on your existing number if you forward it. Fees and timings come from what you enter, so when a fee changes, you update it once in the portal. Zarur does not connect to other HIS or HMS software today. Appointments, doctors, the nurse desk, the doctor portal and pharmacy all run inside the Zarur portal.
Go live this week
Setup takes about a day. A phone number is included, or forward your current number. Try it free for 7 days or 1,000 minutes, whichever comes first. No card needed.
