Who calls in Marathi
Marathi is the language of Maharashtra and is also spoken in Goa and in border districts of Karnataka. Your callers are in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Thane, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Kolhapur, Solapur, Amravati and Sangli.
In Mumbai and Pune, a caller may start in Marathi, switch to Hindi, then finish in English. In Kolhapur, Nagpur or a taluka town, the whole call is often in Marathi.
Why doctor schedules cause most of the calls
Specialists in Maharashtra often visit more than one hospital. A surgeon may be at your hospital on Monday and Thursday mornings only. That creates calls like these:
- "Dr. Patil udya ahet ka?" (Is Dr. Patil in tomorrow?)
- "Which days does the gynaecologist come?"
- "The doctor was on leave last week. Is he back?"
- "Book the next free slot, any day."
If the desk has old information, patients arrive for a doctor who isn't there.
How Zarur handles Marathi
Zarur speaks natural Marathi. Patients talk normally, with no menus and no "press 1". It understands callers who switch between Marathi and English, and it can switch to Hindi or another language mid-call.
Zarur follows your live doctor schedules. Leave, breaks, session changes and blocked doctors apply immediately. So if Dr. Patil is on leave, Zarur says so and offers his next free slot. It never books the same slot twice.
Before saving, Zarur reads the booking back and fixes any wrong name or day. You can save doctor names in Marathi in the portal, so Zarur says them correctly. Patients get a WhatsApp confirmation and a reminder before the visit. Zarur can also call the day before to confirm.
For an emergency, Zarur transfers the call live to your desk. It does not give medical advice.
One schedule for every desk
Specialists who visit several hospitals change sessions often. In the Zarur portal, the admin sets each doctor's availability, breaks and leave, and the change applies to calls right away. Receptionists and nurses can create, reschedule and cancel bookings. Doctors see only their own appointments and cannot change bookings. The activity log records every action by staff and by Zarur, so you can see who changed what. A pharmacy login handles stock, sales and returns, with GST and expiry reports.
See it on your own line
Setup takes about a day. Enter your hospital, doctors, departments and schedules, and Zarur is ready. Try it free for 7 days or 1,000 minutes, whichever comes first. No card needed.
